This post is not for discussing checking account promotion. It is just for
opening multiple checking/savings accounts to be funded with credit cards.
After opening one Citi checking/savings account package, I applied online
for another checking account in order to fund it with credit card. Citi
called me last week to tell me that account would be the last one I can
apply remotely. If I want more accounts, they suggest that I go to branch to
open. The reason they gave me was I moved money out of my citi gold package
after funding it with credit cards.
Therefore if you want to fund more accounts with credit cards, you may want
to keep money with Citi.
