I sometimes cut the cat grass into half and mix it in their canned food. I think it still helps even if you chop them into smaller pieces. Just like Celery is a good fiber source for human being, if you cut it in pieces, the fiber is still there. Hope i am correct :)

Not all hair ends up as balls that got coughed up. They can go out on the other end as well. As long as you are giving them enough fiber, and have pet grass accessible at all times, don't worry if they 吐 or not. I only see a coughed up hairball once in a few months, and I have two cats.

Cats know by instinct what to do when it comes to 'hairballs'. All you need to do is to provide the tools. If your kitty is behaving normally, then whatever that was causing the vomit is no longer bothering her/him. Probably it has been passed out. I used to worry that my cats do not know how to eat the pet grass. Then I noticed that they taught themselves how to take in these grass leaves. Our cats are smarter than what we give them credits for.
last time i saw their vomit was always weeks ago. Two days ago there's a tiny vomit on their plate. I mixed cat grass in their food already every other day. I cut them into 1 inch long.
