标题: 混合班 (combination class) 好还是不好

儿子要上2年级了，是year-round的学校。刚刚接到通知，他被分到2/3年级的混合班了
。他本来就在班上算小的，现在要跟更高年级的学生一起上。真不知道是好事坏。校
长的email说：
We place students in combination classes based on the following criteria:
* Student is reading at or above grade level
* Student has self discipline and can work independently
* Student demonstrates satisfactory citizenship
你们有这样的经验吗？谢谢。

我们家新来的小猫一直有耳朵感染，今天去vet看了，说有几种可能性，其中一种是下
巴那里阻止增生穿破耳膜，造成感染。但要到明天麻醉以后确诊了才知道。如果这样要
动手术，至少要1000刀。
我的问题是，我能否现在就买保险？如果明天确诊后是大问题，一个月后手术，保险公
司会cover吗？我知道保险公司一般都要买保险1个月以后才能开始报销手术费用，而且
pre-existing condition不能cover。象我这种的可以不算pre-existing condition吗
？因为我们还没确诊？

当然好了,小孩子就算开始有点吃力,混混也就跟上了
