Mahogany本身是挺好的木头。可是这个solid and veneers，不知道有
多少部分是实木，多少是贴板。

I think I replied a similar post.
Mahogany has many types, some really good, usually from s. america. some
cheap from southeast asia. Good mahogany is good for carving as they won't
chip.
this is definitely cheap and soft mahogany, as it has to be wrapped by a
layer of veneer of other type of wood.
Mahogany solids is not solid Mahogany either. these are wasted mahogany
compressed together using glues.

这次明白了。 印尼的mahogany估计也不是好木头，这又是剩下来的添头粘起来的。就
这样一个床还要2k，太黑了。 也不知道真的hardwood他们都弄到那里去了，到处都是
hardwood solid. 难道都弄到HD／lowes卖板子去了？

印尼 has excellent mahogany, but hard to get now.
the best mahogany is from africa now.

如果表面没有veneer的话，是不是实木的其实很好判断：仔细看表面，如果能看出是一
块一块的板子拼出来的，而侧面不是一层一层的，就是实木无疑。贴了veneer，里面是
啥就不知道了。
