Product Manager, Media Solutions

We are looking for a dynamic Product Manager to create software content
creation tools utilizing many of our industry leading audio solutions. This
is a unique opportunity for the right candidate who has demonstrated
leadership in defining and delivering cutting edge audio or media software

The role of Product Manager, Media Solutions requires a highly motivated
product leader to manage related products for the professional content
production market. The candidate will oversee the integration of company's
technologies into software application tools used in the creation and
delivery of company-enabled content. From product concept through launch and
end of life, the Product Manager must maintain close relationships with
both internal, cross-functional teams and the market (facilities, third-
party ecosystems, content aggregators) for awareness of product needs and
specifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong grounding in audio,
a broad commercial knowledge of relevant markets, and a collaborative
approach to problem solving.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
•Participates in cross-functional product development teams, to ensure
that proposed solutions meet customer and market needs, and are in
alignment with the company strategy
•Seeks and rationalizes input from customers, partners and
stakeholders to prioritize features and collaboratively develop product
roadmaps
•Maintains expert-level knowledge of customer production trends,
technology changes, and competitive factors and provide reports to
stakeholders
•Routinely engages with key customers and partners to ensure
priorities and product requirements are in alignment with business goals
•Manages bottlenecks, provides escalation management, anticipates and
decides on trade-offs, and ultimately balances business needs with technical
/time constraints
•Advocates and promotes company's products and technologies at
tradeshows, trainings, including attendance as a product expert at events,
as needed
•Trusted for professional interactions and evangelizes the product
vision throughout the company
Required Education and Experience
•Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
•5 or more years of relevant experience managing related products and
technologies, ideally in the professional content production market
Other Skills & Abilities
•Intrinsic passion for audio and for making the world sound better
•Deep technical understanding of post-production and digital delivery
workflows from studio to consumer device, which includes transcoding and
multiplexing products, QC and workflow management tools, content streaming
protocols, and client/player dependencies
•Strong teamwork and project-related skills, ensuring open
communication channels across all teams
•Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive
listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise
fashion to technical and non-technical audiences
•Knowledgeable about digital audio, formats, and related digital audio
technologies
•Experience with Agile/Scrum, preferably in the role of Product Owner,
is a plus
•A strong understanding of audio mixing solutions for digital cinema,
home entertainment content, music, broadcast and games, is a plus
•Experience managing and working with SDK/API deliverables, including
documentation, command-line scripting experience, is a plus
•Experience with design, UX testing and development of GUI-based
software applications, is a plus
•Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (primarily domestic)
