At work, hard to type Chinese.
Crate, bed, leash, collar, harness (optional), water bowl, food bowl, treat,
food, dog waste bags.
At shelter: Make sure you play with it for a while (like 1-2 hours). You
will want to make sure the dog you want to adopt is food motivated and also
no resources guarding (observe through playing time and ask the shelter
staff for such information). It is also important to find out if the dog
doesnt like to be patted at certain area since you have kids. By that I mean
, you can pat its head? touch its mouth? paw? butt? hip? and such. After
playing with the dog, make sure your whole family is comfortable with the
dog and then take her out for a long walk.
Before entering your home: The dog should be pretty tired at this point,
however, you still want to take her for a walk and make sure it is super
tired and pee and poop out door at this point (Treat it if it pee or poop,
or at least say good). If your dog is still not very tired at this point,
you will be in a world of pain...
Home: Make sure you enter the house first and then dog follows. Show her
around and put its toy (shelter probably give you a toy that the dog likes,
if not make sure you ask for one) into its crate. Let it play for a while
and start crate training right a way. i.e. treat it every time it goes into
its crate.
