backwards from the customer. We are looking for software developers (SDE) to
build and solve interesting problems in our ecommerce advertising arena.
You will develop new software solutions while leveraging existing services
and revolutionize the way Amazon executes advertising. The Kindle, Mobile,
Video Advertising Platform teams build products that transform the front end
user landscape and back end systems to power Advertising on Amazon and off
Amazon. We’re looking for customer-focused software design engineers to
build the next generation of advertising viewing experiences.

all of the services offered by AWS, including Gov Cloud, EC2, S3, and others
. Our team works with the service teams to solve security challenges at
massive scale, and builds tools to automate the auditing and operation of
AWS infrastructure. We are looking for super-smart software and systems
professionals to join us and help us continue to raise the security bar for
cloud computing. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system
software, is customer-centric, and feels strongly not only about building
good software but about making that software achieve its goals in

Elastic Load Balancing automatically distributes incoming application
traffic across multiple Amazon EC2 instances in the cloud. It enables you to
achieve greater levels of fault tolerance in your applications, seamlessly
providing the required amount of load balancing capacity needed to
distribute application traffic.
IPC
Inventory Planning and Control is responsible for optimizing two of Amazon’
s core business drivers: the cost of goods and outbound transportation. Our
systems understand what inventory to buy, how much to buy and where to buy
it from. We then decide how to place billions of items across our world-wide
warehouse network, and determine the optimal way to ship every customer
order. We build systems that run at Amazon scale using cloud computing and
service oriented architecture, we develop and operate high-throughput
distributed systems, and utilize numerous classes of algorithmic approaches
(combinatorial, non-linear and stochastic optimization, machine learning,
statistical analysis, simulation). We operate in a complex problem domain (
Supply Chain, Inventory Management) and rapidly innovate to provide low
prices, Earth’s Biggest Selection, and fast delivery for Amazon customers
globally. We’re finding new ways to leverage Amazon’s scale and computing
infrastructure to build completely new solutions in areas such as buying
strategy, optimization, selection, and operations planning that have never
been solved at this scale. No experience with Supply Chain is required, just
a willingness to learn and a desire to solve very tough problems. If the
idea of building large scale, high availability software systems using
mathematical modeling, simulations and data analysis gets you excited, come

DBS Redshift, Aurora, Console
Amazon Redshift is a fast, fully managed, petabyte-scale data warehouse that
makes it simple and cost-effective to analyze all your data using your
existing business intelligence tools. Start small for $0.25 per hour with no
commitments and scale to petabytes for $1,000 per terabyte per year, less
than a tenth the cost of traditional solutions. Customers typically see 3x
compression, reducing their costs to $333 per uncompressed terabyte per year.
AWS Bill Presentation
Bill Presentation generates and delivers billing information to all AWS
customers, including the Invoice email/PDF and several Detailed Billing
Reports. The team also provides an aggregator service layer as an
integration point with AWS Payments and Billing systems. We work with large
amounts of data with throughputs that challenge even Amazon scale. In the
future, the team will implement Big Data approaches to processing its
streams of data utilizing all the AWS technologies available. If you are
passionate about processing data at Amazon/AWS scale, this is your
opportunity. You will own the development process from architecture and
design through delivery. Java is the primary language for building systems
in this space, but leveraging other languages is encouraged if they solve
problems more efficiently. You will be encouraged to dive deep and to show
innovation by solving big problems with simple solutions.
AWS Networking
The Bandwidth Product Management organization within AWS is responsible for
the analysis, reporting and Product Management of Network Data Transfer (
ingress and egress of data between and within regions and to/from the
internet) that is incurred by AWS customers. We are responsible for the
product strategy, pricing, and innovations to drive one of the biggest AWS
businesses. This position is unique within AWS because your product is
bundled with many other service offerings requiring you to build strong
relationships with service teams to drive a cohesive strategy. You will also
lead the standardization and improvement of financial & metric reporting, P
&L cost allocation, and New Initiative cost monitoring. Internally, we work
closely with Network and Software Engineering teams, Network Capacity
Planning, and Finance evaluate and understand our customers’ usage and
costs. The organization is comprised of roles including Product Managers,
Data Engineers, and Software Engineers. Along with rest of AWS, we
continue to expand the depth and function of the organization and seek out
those individuals that like to be owners responsible for end to end
execution in a fast paced, high ambiguity, and dynamic environment.
