现在如果申请公民纸需要8个月时间.
打给USCIS的800电话问可不可以用美国护照代替公民纸,结果回复是we can't give
such information over the phone. Plz ask an attorney.
美国这是逼人请律师啊

He needs a citizenship certificate (granted through N400 or N600
applications) in order to sponsor spouse immigration. American passport is
NOT enough in this category of I-130 cases for him.

难道绿卡不用经过归化过程直接可以申请护照？美国护照申请要的是公民纸，不是绿卡。

这个人不是通过归化的。根据美国法律，一个18岁以下的永久居民在美国跟一位美国公
民的父母住，就自动是美国公民。是美国公民就能申请美国护照。

the example is for citizenship at birth (born to USC parent) which is native
born USC as well. (John MaCann can run for president based on this)
You are USC through automatic citizenship when your parent naturalized,
which is different to the example. But whatever, use passport now, MSC(NBC)
will send you an RFE asking for citizenship certificate, and you can apply
for one then and reply RFE with the receipt.
