Hello mihu,
I verified the DV value and Signature Fees with Upper level management at
FEDEX.
Whenever there is a Declared Value of $500 or higher, FDX REQUIRES a
recipient signature before releasing the delivery.
I also have management confirmation back that this signature service, even
when not chosen by you,
but obtained as a direct result of the high declared value amount, does have
a fee attached to it.
I apologize, as I realize this is direct contrast as to what was previously
communicated to you on this issue.
The tracking numbers below are valued at $500 so when the package was
processed, the automation software or fedex.com site
will automatically default to requiring a Recipient Signature, you no longer
have a choice because of the high value amount set at $500 or higher.
FDX does this with high value items to ensure the product arrives at its
destination in a secure manner to the appropriate recipient.
I can attempt to request a credit or at least partial credit for the
tracking numbers you have said has the signature fees
and I will try to explain to our invoicing dept. that you were provided
misinformation at the time of shipping those packages.
If you can send me the tracking number in an EXCEL Spreadsheet, it would
greatly help when I submit them to our invoicing dept. on your behalf.
I can’t promise they will credit you , but I will do my best to try given
the conflicting information you were provided.
However, from this point on, I would advise you either lower your declared
value to under $500 for your items
and DO NOT choose “signature required service” unless you absolutely
require a signature from a specific recipient.
Feel free to contact me if you have further questions regarding this.
Thanks!
