看了一阵房子了，好不容易看到一个各方面都合心的，但发现在fault zone,
landslide zone 和 fire hazard zone 上。这种房子能不能买呢？现在真不容易找到
房子。很纠结呀。

山坡上的房子都这样。老中的问题不是他是不是在什么zone上，而是它是在
山坡上。

没budget，打算搞一套ab800先玩着。local这人卖这么一大堆东西，那个60x30的
softbox也太大了。

如果很喜欢这个房子，再看看它是否在 fault traces上。Hire a geologist to
assess the parcel。如果在上面，就别买了。

我之前也遇到一个fault zone上的房子，最后没买。当时问了一个civil engineer朋友
，人说there are many houses in bay area are not on the fault zone...

Most of the bay area mountains and hills are faults.
It is not an issue. The chances you will have a land slide
or a wild fire are much larger than the chances you will
have an earthquake under your house.
Fault zone, landslide zone, fire zone, are not that important
as long as you can accept the way of living on a hill or
near a hill, and you are not buying house thinking it is the
safest investment.
But flood zone is generally very very important.

不一定，做个elevation certification，保费有可能低很多

1. it requires flood insurance.
2. it limits your development options.
3. it happens a lot. It may not destroy the house. But
it is surely a mess when it happens.
