Less than 24-hours before we’re supposed to officially hear from Sony about
the company’s upcoming SmartShot lens cameras, a whole set of press images
showing both models from every angle have leaked online.
In case you haven’t been following our coverage, the Sony Lens Cameras —
rumored to be called either EspressOn or SmartShot — are smartphone
attachable lenses that contain their own image sensor, processor and
stabilization. They’ll connected to your smartphone via bluetooth and
basically turn your phone into a high-end point-and-shoot.
Sony is expected to release two models: an 18MP QX10 (basically a Sony WX150
) and a 20.2MP QX100 (basically a Sony RX100 II).
This newest photo leak comes to us via Photo Rumors. Included are what look
to be press images of both models, including a few “real life” ad photos
that show the lens cams being used. (Note: Photo Rumors had to blur out the
center of each photo because of some inappropriate political messages that
came attached).
