Got robbed in front of a parking structure after work today in bright day
light.
Was typing on the phone when someone snatched it and walked away. For a
second I thought it was a friend. By the time I realized it is robbery, a
young man had jumped off his bike, and run into the parking structure to
chase the robber. Only then I started yelling, but all I said was "Hey! hey
!", really helpful. Then I thought about the car alarm thing paddy posted.
But all it came out of it was a muffled sound, was like in a bad dream. (I
had pushed the lock key, not the alarm). Mean time another young man saw the
chase and started chasing the
robber too. They ran around in the parking structure for what felt like 1
minute before they caught him. The robber is younger kid, maybe 15-20, well
dressed and mannered, not armed or anything. They asked him to give my phone
back and they won't take him to the police. The two young men are about 20-
25.
Just phoned the police to file a report.
Be careful when you walk and type on your phone as I do. Be safe and don't
think that "It can never happen to me".
