"Yes! We have the final proof Sony is about to launch a new f/2.8 zoom
series! And we also found the officially Sony trademarked logo of this new
lens series called “G Master”.
Sony will soon (at CP+?) announce the first of these lenses, the 24-70mm f/2
.8 GM. The document in our hands doesn’t unveil any other details of the
lens but this should be a Full Frame E-mount lens. It’s yet unclear how
Sony will differentiate this lens line from current Zeiss zooms or Sony A-
mount f/2.8 zooms. Maybe those are powerzooms or “cine-friendly” lenses
like the Zeiss Master series?
To recap Sony is “rumored” to launch many new products before or at the Cp
+ show in February. These are some of the stuff that could be announced soon:
New A6100
New HX400 successor
Another new mirrorless (unclear what it is or if that is the A99 successor…)
New GM lens line (24-70mm f/2.8)
New FE roadmap with 85mm fast prime and at least a telephoto lens
Zeiss will launch the 18mm Batis
Stay tuned on SAR, its’ going to be very exciting here on SAR the coming
days 😉"
