if it starts leaking, you'd better replace it asap, or you take the risk of
flooding your basement.
it is almost impossible to repair a water heater if the tank is corroded.
you could slow down the corrosion by replacing an anode rod regularly, but
it sounds a bit too late. see my experience here:

Skydrive by Microsoft is way better. Larger free space (7GB), better
support and better overall integration with everything.
