We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to lead development.
Reporting to the VP Engineering, the Technical Lead will join a distributed
team to implement large scale multi-tenant B2B services.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned:
Succeed in a multi-functional team lead role that includes team management,
software architecture and software development
Drive technical projects and provide leadership in an innovative and fast-
paced environment.
Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of
complex technical projects.
Lead by example in creating efficient, high-performance features and web
based applications
Write efficient, well-tested and scalable code that delivers the best
experience to our users.
Work closely with product management team to ensure we’re building the best
products.
Collaborate with designers, testers and product owners to build requirements
and drive product direction.
Oversee all engineering aspects of the project. Just a few of those areas
include:
Solving challenges in performing 3pty service integrations
Consuming SOAP and REST APIs to exchange data with clients
Design and write Python code
Data modeling in MongoDB and MySql
Define operational systems in AWS environment
Qualification Requirements:
BS in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience..
10 years of relevant industry experience, with 5 years leading software
engineering projects.
Hands-on development expertise preferably in Python, but if you are the type
of developer who has worked in multiple languages and are excited by the
challenge of becoming a great python developer quickly you may be a great
fit.
Track record of shipping products, on time, and with low technical debt.
Creative, Self-motivated and a strong problem solver with an emphasis on
root-cause analysis and quick resolution of issues.
Adaptable, have-a-go attitude, willing to learn new technologies and skills
quickly.
Relentless focus on improvement, both for yourself, and the product.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Python, particularly Web Service micro-frameworks.
Knowledge of Sql and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
High level of familiarity with Distributed Version Control (Git).
Experience working with Agile development practices.
Experience with or interest in machine learning and document classification
problems a plus.
Previous contributions to Open Source projects.
