has anyone heard this book? maybe a fun read. the name sounds like eating a
tree..oh..in case you take the v. as n.
it's said to be comical and about written english, about punctuation
specifically..
"the zero tolerance approach to punctuation" that's the left or the right half
title.
hopefully it can repair my insensitivity toward semicolons.

I heard it once in our class. Maybe my teacher recommended it to us. It must
be an interesting and useful book for your witten English. :)
"Eats Shoots & Leaves", when there is no comma between the words, then the
meaning is different.
I got a website which provides some simple excercises.:)

not sure. i came to know it by chance. a bunch of ameturish cyber writers
mentioned it.

seems to be an entertaining book and have a fat chance of being educational.

吃嫩竹和竹叶。有逗号的时候，三个都是动词，这个

another version of the joke is a panda went to a restaurant and ordered
some meal. When he finished it, he fired a gun to the sky and stood up, about
to leave. The puzzled waiter asked the panda what's going on? The panda
took out a dictionary and point to the entry: "Panda: A bear-like animal,
eats, shoots and leaves."

I just finished this book. It is really fun to read. The author
sounds a little bit condescending, but maybe she has the right. :)

Just finished it. Very funny... and educational... though lady Lynne *was* a
little hard on us poor illiterates.
But now at least I've discovered the irresistable grace & beauty of my C
programs... which are so full of semicolons. ;)
