(I have no idea of the book,just searching for William Golding's other novel,
then ran into this review...'s title.. on amazon //I wonder whether it was
really written by a 11 year old..)

非常可能是11岁的孩子写的.写的很老实.
高三时读过蝇王的中文版, 忘了作者是哪年的炸药奖了, 还是我记混了, 根本没得?
那个猪头的细节印象很深. 这本书在我要读的原版书单上.

he got the award. this imprinted on my memory well coz once i was looking for
william goldman in a library but brought william golding home by mistake. a
nobel prizer in hand was a dismaying discovery until later on i realized nobel
prizer was not unreadable.;)

随便看了看他的简历, 43岁出的第一部书, 看来我还不晚, 哈哈哈!

不好意思
我出国时自己编了个单子.
我很多书都只读过中文版, 没有条件读英文(或者俄文原版). 原本是想等出国后再恶补的

很惭愧, 我英文读的慢, 又有工作忙的借口,一直没有完成. 前几天,听人说她一天就读完
了Coetzee的the youth, 非常羡慕.
我没有读过英文的'蝇王', 就不写我的感想了.
这个'蝇王'review应该是个孩子写的. 不说内容, 仅仅是第一句话:
"In the innocent childhood of boys, the difference between savagery and
society
need to not only be learned but used."
毛病还是很"硬"吧? 成年人不会说"childhood of BOYS"吧.

heh, i had the same ideosyncrasy before, thinking that the chinese-to-english
translations musta been very bad. but then i realized at least, for a lot of
translations i've read, i couldn't do better than what's already done. it must
not be the translations, maybe it is hard for foreign people to get the
context of our classical arts, or they don't really think what we have can be
also of value to them. the western academic world have been very closed. peole
get taught of greek myths and europea

十分黑暗的一本书，有人建议把这本和Joseph Conrad的《Heart of Darkness》同看。
原文很好读，也不长，而且英文一点都不难。William Golding以前当过中学教师（或者
小学教师？记不清了），无论是男孩子的语言还是行为都描写非常生动。
这本书各种各样的评论很多，我觉得最好的一篇是E.M.Forster写的，另外还有E.L.Epste
in写的也不错。
