上海面试归来，拿到了Offer，算外派人员，直接给GM汇报，管一个Team，工资和美国
一样，稍多一点，公司给付万元（人民币）房租，然后把这个房租也算成了所有Comp一
部分。我一直以来以为外派的人员，房租是Comp以外additional的，所以觉得好像工资
没涨多少。有人有同感吗？

没有，楼主对我来讲太牛了。GM真有钱啊。

这个你要和公司谈。外派的如果是高管有住房补贴或是relocation package。如果你拿
了后者的话。可能住房补贴就是工资的一部份了。

对了，工资要不要定格在人民币？以后不用承担人民币升值带来的薪资缩水？
我的应该是后者，外派的人都有的。另外一个VP part-time在上海，公司花16000 RMB
给租的港汇广场 one-bedroom

你应该要求公司直接给租房的。
这样可以把房租省下来

是给租房，不是把钱直接给我。想过，自己租花5000或更多，之前还要先把钱扣税，那
税前要近7000。公司给花10000租房，不过多了3000而已。

how the tax work? do you have to pay 30% tax in both china and us? i guess
not, if so nobody will go back...

25% if you make over 500k, 30% if you make over 750k, in RMB. In China
companies give you partially in allowance, on which you don't have to pay
Tax. Some companies try to avoid tax through HK, but that is an illegal
approach. Allowance is legal.

你回国的工资差不多是美国工资数字的7~8倍了吧。
我前面发一个帖子说回国工资要达到美元工资数字的10倍，
很多人不相信。

the 25% or 30% here you mention is tax in china, right? how about US tax?
it is not going to be another 20% or 30% right? if so that is hard to
make a living...

Oh no, if you are US citizen and claim less than 90k USD, you don't pay
double tax. It is the portion you make that is over 90k USD that you pay
double tax on. In general I think China income tax rate is slightly lower
than US.

Offer letter 都讲美元，我自己乘以6.7算的，然后按25%算的income tax

Actually green card holder are treated the same as citizens for tax purposes
. My question is: how is it going to work out? You are going to spend more
than 50% time in China holding an American green card? It is possible INS
cancel your green card.
