Dear US Consular Officer, Beijing:
My name is xxx. I am currently a H1B holder, working as a full-time IT
engineer with a yearly salary of $xxx at xxx, Inc. in California. I wish to
invite my parents xxx and xxx to visit me for six months in the United
States.
My parents have been together running a clothing store at hometown in the
past years. My elder brother and one sister, nephews, nieces, as well as
brother-in-law are all in China. After graduation in 2008 as a xxx from xxx
and working for a few years, I think it’s a good time to invite them for a
temporary tourism and enjoy the time being together in America. Please
assist them in receiving a tourism visa so that they may visit me at the end
of July 2011 and return in December 2011.
I understand you might have concerns over whether my parents will go back to
China after their visit, and I must clarify that they will definitely
return, primarily for three reasons:
a. Their business is still open and they will go back to take care of
them after the temporary closing. They plan to retire two years later when
they both are at 65 years old.
b. We are a big family and most family members (except me) are still in
China. My parents enjoy being as the senior people in such a big family and
therefore have no any intention to stay in U.S. any longer than the duration
of time to be approved.
c. Although they really wish to visit a country that’s attractive to
many people worldwide in multiple respects, they certainly would choose to
live in their hometown where they have been with for more than 60 years,
with many friends and memories developed there.
During the duration of their visit, they will stay with me at the address as
noted above, and the costs, including, but not limited to, financial
responsibilities, air tickets, travel expenses, medical insurance, housing
and food, will be fully covered by me. My 2010 year’s W-2, my most recent
paychecks, my passport and I-797 documents that serve as proof of my
financial documents and legal working status in the USA are included for
your review.
Thank you for your time and kind consideration of the attached visa
application.
Sincerely,

I think the mentioning of the full financial coverage reflects part of the
Chinese family culture. It's quite natural. I think it won't do much harm or
good whether making it explicit or not.
