Dear Chief Consul,
My name is XX. I am a student of the XX and right now I am doing my XX
internship in the United States. I am writing this letter to invite my
mother (my father is too busy to come), XX, to visit me and take a tour
together for vacation in June.
I will cover most of my mother’s spending for the trip. My parents will
finance for my mother’s air-tickets and the part of expense I cannot cover,
if any.
Here is the list of documents I have for your reference:
Travel plan
My savings till now
Copy of my acceptance letter to XX internship in XX
Copy of my DS-2019 and DS-7002 forms
Copy of my passport, visas, I-94, driver's license and vehicle title
Copy of my W-2 Wage and Tax Statement
Copy of my student status certificate and my transcript
Copy of the acceptance letter to XX
Copy of the email on my paid vacation days

我晕,你前面的东西我没看过,不过你写着东西像是你在签证的checklist. 其实什么签
经啥的都没用,建议你去看看使馆网页对b2的签证要求: 1. 有足够的财力支付这次旅行
2. 证明签证人会回来
你的第一项写得不明不白的,什么 I cannot cover if any
第二项根本就没有写.

可惜我上次写得letter找不到了，感觉写得还不错的说。你的letter感觉是明显受了
1000悲剧的打击、借鉴了太多参考意见——补充说明很多，生怕说的不够全，但是行文
却不流畅。我个人是不喜欢那么直白啦，啊，我出钱，啊，我妈一定回国。不见得效果
就好，当然，我这个版本也是个人意见，仅供参考。
第一段，言简意赅，我叫啥，我想让我妈什么时候来，大概多久。
第二段，妈妈的情况：以前是什么工作，现在是什么工作（就算退休了，也不妨说她在
规律地从事什么业余爱好活动什么的，老年大学啦、唱歌跳舞啦）。
第三段，我的情况：我现在在哪家公司工作，full-time/part-time，薪金多少，用的
是什么签证，自己租房还是跟人合租（当然是说自己租房子咯）。
第四段：请你批准，有问题请跟我联系。

我的感觉是别list什么列表，和cover letter一样，也别太想说清楚所有状况（你爸很
busy什么的）。总之，别想着签证官看着材料就给你妈过，他总是想要通过对话来了解
对面这个人的。你的策略是，邀请信要诚恳，而不是显得教条；资料要完备，以防万一
；最关键的是要帮你妈准备面谈，可能遇到什么问题，特别是心理培训，比如问到父亲
为什么不去、家庭经济等等不要紧张，临场面谈的态度很重要的

楼上几位意见都对，唯一能保留的几句还要再改：

画蛇添足，找据。cannot cover这种词就不要提了。这句话删掉。
