hehe, I have that book with me right now.
A brief introduction to multi-universe hypothesis
in quantum mechanics can be found at "Alternate View":

with some reference to published papers/articles.
The author is a physicist and SF writer, the "Alternate
Views" he's written are pretty interesting.
