各位unix大虾，小弟初学unix,遇到点困难。我试图安装ssh，但当我敲入下列命令时，
机器给我的回应是：
./configure
checking cc... no
checking gcc... no
c compiler can not create exectualbe.
望大虾指教。//bow

find out where is your c compiler. Ask your sysadmin if necessary.
say it's /opt/gcc/bin/gcc
then ./configure CC=/opt/gcc/bin/gcc
also read "./configure --help" for other hints

thank you for your instruction. you know, I can not find /opt/gcc/bin/gcc
I do not know where to find the C compiler either. could you give me
more suggestions? thank you again.

u can type
which gcc
to get the answer

I have no idea what c compiler you have on your IRIX. you may or may not have
gcc installed. "/opt/gcc/bin/gcc" is just a fictional example.
try asking your sysadmin or someone who also uses the system.
