Does anyone know if there is a universal BIOS password for a IBM laptop? My
advisor's IBM thinkpad has been stolen and he wonders if the robber can turn
it on or not. Thanks!

and there are other ways such as remove the CMOS battery and etc
or just take out the harddisk and get the information out
