一读电影就知道走对了路
在伊大，学科﹑术科并重。学科方面有戏剧史及剧本研读，术科方面除了学习表演、导
演、剧场运作外，每学期还要打卡做满一百二至三百六十小时的剧场工作。除了做剧场
工外，我还参加过三次正式舞台演出及导过一次小剧场。伊大两年，艺专三年，五年的
戏剧养成教育，成为我日后电影创作的底子。
当时一眼看过去，我以为最优秀的人才都在表演组，我就有个概念，如果把戏剧剥到最
后，用削减法衡量每个元素，哪些可以不要，那么最后最必要的一个元素就是：一个演
员站在舞台上面对观众。
过去在艺专，从一年级开始我就演男主角，自小练习的演讲经验，让我可以口齿清楚，
在台上我是有两把刷子的。然而到了伊大，语言不行就不能演，只能演默剧、小配角，
埋头在一边学习导演功课，比较没意思。
那时我开始兴起念头，当导演就要当电影导演。1980年拿到戏剧学士后，我同时申请了
伊大的戏剧研究所和纽约大学电影研究所。
我将转念纽约大学电影研究所的想法，征询父亲的意见。父亲本来希望我继续念戏剧，
拿博士，将来好教书，最后还是同意我念电影，学费及拍片花销家里会帮我。
我一读电影就知道走对了路。因为我当演员是

I am a little confused about the sizeof(string) = 4.
Since string is a specialized basic_string, and basic_string is derived
from _String_base.
_String_base has three protected pointers:
_Tp* _M_start;
_Tp* _M_finish;
_Tp* _M_end_of_storage;
thus sizeof(string) should be 12 instead of 4?
is there anybody to elaborate on this?

到了艺专，我第一次可以抛开以往的价值观，像个新生儿般地重新开始。走上这条路，

You were not looking at the actual code that you were compiling.
Try to find the actual string header file in your system, and you'll see.

1986年1月，惠嘉毕业后找到工作，从伊利诺伊搬来纽约郊区同住，刚开始的半年，她
真的很难过，都不想活了。不过后来她好像也想开了，家里只要过得去就好。
他老婆好像也抑郁过, 但是后来看开了, 也就释然了, 其实stay home mom and dad 做
的事情都差不多, 只是社会上的舆论让stay home dad 有太大的压力
