support Bernanke (13 Democrats, 3 Republicans), while 14 support the Pink
Slip (9 Republicans, 5 Democrats/Indeps). 41 are needed for Bernanke to take

It depends on the senators facing election this year. They have to decide
if they stick to this Obama (sinking) ship to confirm Bernanke, or veto
his 2nd term in order to have sth to show for in front of angry voters.
