Sector rotation can be performed in 3 dimensions. The first dimension is the
well-known dimension of BM/Energy/Financials/consumer/Industry/services/etc
. Apparently you saw this dimension only.
The second dimension is large/mid/small caps. Small-caps outperformed large-
cap a lot recently.
The third dimension is value/growth/blend stock. Value stocks outperformed
this year, but today growth stocks did a lot better.
