我现在碰到人家家里生女儿的必定要跟我说，生儿子有什么好，儿子不孝顺，女儿才贴心。
我宝宝是个臭小子，我只能赔笑，是啊是啊。我都想生个女儿呢。然后就是那家那家儿子不孝顺啊，老人一把年纪的都不管的，女儿好啊，日子过的潇洒啊。我只能沉默不语。
孩子是男是女，都是你的孩子，如果你说生个儿子就是个名声好听，那你何必又对自己的女儿有诸多要求，要她们孝顺要她们听话。
孝顺不孝顺还是要看自己，所谓言传身教。你自己不孝顺，孩子长大了孝顺的可能性太小了。

It depends on the circumstances on the status violation.
It might help your wife's case if she had left the US and come back with H4
visa BEFORE the submission of her 485.

No.
If less than 180 days status violation, it is possible to leave the US and
return with a valid visa to clear the prior status violation. But if more
than 180 days, I don't think re-entering the US will help.
In your wife's case, if there is a violation, it would be more than 180 days
, and the re-admission to the US doesn't clear such history.
I would suggest you to talk to an experienced immigration lawyer about your
wife's case.
