我爸有段时间狂热的陷入到与某朋友的攀比，
觉得人家样样不如他，几十年在单位他都略压人家一头。完事儿到孩子这儿他输了。
他那朋友家孩子跟我一届的，同小学初中高中，人家常年年级第一，我也就算成绩还可
以吧😞。哎哟那个叔叔也是不省心，天天见面就显摆孩子成绩好，给我爸酸坏
了。
后来高考人家top2稳稳的，我嘛就个一般的重点大学。再后来出国，人家本科申到大藤
直博，我嘛申了个一般学校的硕……再后来，好不容易我硕士读完了申到个小藤的博，
我爸刚舒了口气，哎哟，人家发science一作了……
我爸真的是受刺激的不行不行的，快把我逼死了。
后来咋好的？
后来呀，那同学博士毕业读了个mba去挣钱去了，我爸觉得他走了歪路放弃了科学理想
再也拿不到诺贝尔奖了，于是忽然就松弛了……

GPU is the future. It will beat cpu in long run. Safe bet on nvda, I guess.

这个还没什么共识或者定论吧。。即使GPU不错，NVDA也不是一家独大，
还有AMD呢。
NVDA最近很弱，价位看看还是不错的。

现在graphics chip的trend变了。大家现在都想学apple赚钱，都转行搞SOC了。

GPU has no future，well，it will become CPU if it wants to be more powerful
，can NVDA win in the CPU market? I doubt it.
But it doesn't mean you can not make money from its stock...

I remember I bashed NVDA long time ago following your post.
The same condition applies, as long as Tegra has no major design wins, NVDA
can not go up.
GPU is a pretty mature market and margin is low. 3DTV is too far away to
contribute any meaningful cash flow. Only Tegra is the unknown for NVDA.
I'd rather wait and watch closely on Tegra sales...

if I remember right, tegra chip is better than ipad had. Are u familiar
with hardware chip design technology?

yes, tegra is way way ahead of ipad chip (video/graphics, not the arm core,
since both of them licensed arm cortex core). actually tegra is the best AP,
much better than anyone else (including TI's famous OMAP and Marvel's). it
has super high performance and very very low power consumption.
but problem is tegra doesn't have a good software eco-system to support it.
the reason OMAP is so popular is that all embedded engineers are familer
with TI's software but no one ever heard of nvda's tegra so

I don't have any position is nvda currently. But if fermi and tegra succeeds
, no one knows how high they can get. In industry use, future fermi is a
dominant player.
