Application Developer

Summary
Communicates with SWBC business units to develop technical requirements for
complex programming tasks. Develops new and modifies current applications to
meet business and technical requirements. Analyzes legacy code and makes
modifications in accordance with business program change requests. Helps
with implementation of applications.
Essential Duties
Maintains SWBC applications written in ASP.Net, C#, and Javascript using
Visual Studio
Uses ASP.Net, C#, Javascript, and Visual Studio to develop new applications
for SWBC
Maintains current documentation for all applications supported by the
developer
Writes and debugs Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures
Attends meetings with SWBC and SWBC Clients to help formulate Business
Requirements
Writes technical requirements for new applications and program change
requests
Develops prototypes to demonstrate different approaches to business
requirements
Analyze current processes and suggest improvements
Minimum Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information
Systems or related field.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years in .NET/ASP.NET/C# development.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years SQL experience. Delphi development
and AS400 experience preferred.
.NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, C#, SQL 2005/2008 or higher (T-SQL Procedures), Visual
Studio 2005/2008/2010 or higher, Webservices, CSS. Visual Source Safe
Subversion or other version control software, Javascript desirable. Test
Driven Development, Team Foundation Server, Telerik or other 3rd part .NET
extensions and AJAX development preferred.
Strong product development and engineering skills.
Good understanding of the software business and its practices.
Exceptional specialized/technical and analytical skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with a
wide range of personnel.
Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation
skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, or equivalent applications.
Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. of reports, paper and/or files.
Must be able to sit for long periods of time while performing duties.
Desired/Nice To Have:
Delphi or Pascal experience (any version).
Delphi-to-C# conversion experience.
