如果是错误的，你不能cash的
如果你用了，将来irs发现了，你会有麻烦

我理解的：那个是reduce tax的，不是refund credit的。

the tax. But I did not get any letter from IRS.

这个我知道，我今年也算错了，他们另外送一封信，上面指明哪个地方算错了，如
何纠正的，以及纠正金额总数是多少。
奇怪了，你怎么才报税呀？我4月底就收到这封correction letter了。

似乎不会给letter
要看这个数在你看来合不合理了，比如哪儿算错了，可以用的deduction没用上
数目太大了，我们普通人没概念，我知道的也就多退个几百的

应该是除了支票，还会给你寄一封信，详细解释如何做的调整和更改。
你等几天吧，估计几天内你应该可以收到一封irs的解释信的。
如果两三周后，还没有收到irs给你的解释信的话，可以直接打irs的电话（1040表格的
instruction上面有的），直接和irs的customer service谈，弄清楚是怎么一回事。打
电话的时候，需要你原先报税时填写的1040退税额（是你当时填写报税税表的那个退税
额，是更正前的那个数据）。
估计就是你overpaid了。
