The Federal Reserve will buy about $27 billion of Treasurys and Treasury
inflation-protected securities in nine operations from Sept. 15 through Oct.
6, the New York Fed said on its website on Monday.
The Federal Reserve said at its Aug. 10 meeting that it would buy Treasurys
using funds from maturing agency bonds and mortgage-backed securities in an
effort to keep steady its holdings of domestic securities.
The Fed has already purchased about $17.64 billion of securities in nine
