these kinds of broker dealers are not well-known.
and you should expect large bid/ask spread.
besides, every for "junk" bond, you still need millions to invest.

No I mean bond from company in financial troubles usually those bonds have
very high yield. My broker only carry
investment grade bonds.

corp bond不是很熟悉，再差的应该也有rating啊。

how frequently you want to trade and how much money you want to put in the
account? If fix income trade is not your expertise and focus, etrade, TD
ameritrade etc accounts are fine. Otherwise, try bonddeskgroup, tradeweb
retail.
you can also try bond fund.
Non investgrade bond market are not that liquid and the spread is very wide
recently.

Thanks for the info.
I am not a serious bond trader. Just would like to have an option to buy
stressed bond in case there is a good opportunity. ie, if a company with
good asset has liquidation risk, buying bond is far better choice than
common stocks.
I have TD account with me, but TD only has investment grade bond from
companies like IBM or GE.
for other brokers you mentioned, I will check them out. Thanks.

I am not a serious bond trader. Just would like to have an option to buy
stressed bond in case there is a good opportunity. ie, if a company with
good asset has liquidation risk, buying bond is far better choice than
common stocks.

I have multiple accounts with Fidelity, TD, Optionhouse, OptionXpress, IB,
Zecco and Etrade.
Among them, Etrade is the best for retail bond investor, you can even buy
bankrupted company's bond if there's someone sells it.

What do you think about independent shale gas player? Many of them are not
able to raise capital from either debt or equity due to low NG price. some
of them will face bankruptcy if NG price stay low long enough. I'm looking for
bonds from companies with large reserve but have difficulties to raise
capital in the near term. Same thing applies to independent oil and NG
players in GOM due to OBAMA's drilling ban.

independent oil and NG players in GOM, you mean ATPG and its fellow palyers?
I am pretty sure the ban will be lifted pretty soon, right? As far as shale
gas player, I know CHK has a chunk of reserve itself, but I am not sure CHK
needs to raise a lot of cash in the near future.

Check out GMXR I think they are in big trouble now. ATPG is in good shape
they don' need more cash in near term.
