出生公证是必须的。

I saw some at BabiesRUs and Motherhood Maternity, and later at Target, but
they didn't seem that good (don't look comfortable, and didn't know what
size to buy).
A couple of weeks ago my parents drove to LA to purchase one for me,
probably from a "月子中心"吧
Tomorrow I can ask them about the place's information if you're interested.

I delivered vaginally, but I had many stitches because of tear (baby has big
head)... I was in pain in the hospital and after I got home so I didn't
start using it until almost a week after I had my baby. I'm not sure if you
can use this product if you had c-section or if you need to wait.
xxsmm: My parents said the contact number is 626-840-1919; (it goes to a
young man's cell phone, but we don't know his last name); I think my parents
found this place from Chinese yellow pages. They drove to Arcadia, CA to
pick up the product. It costs $50 and the package came with two pieces of
clothes.
Oh, you will need your husband's (or your mom's, but it could be hard on her
back) help to put it on. There's instruction sheet in the package, but my
husband and I found it helpful to watch a "demo" in a segment of tv program
available on ppstream called "百科全說"-- it was within an episode that
aired last Oct (2010). (Sorry I don't have the exact date, but it should
not be hard to find when you search under 綜藝娛樂.) My sister-in-law told
me about that Chinese show had two episodes featured father-and-daughter
from Taiwan who are experts on 坐月子. You might find the info discussed
helpful. :)
Btw, if you are not in Southern California area, maybe you want to order
online and have the 腹帶 shipped to you? (website: www.cowa-usa.com)
