FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A woman is in critical condition after crashing
her car Sunday night. Police said she had a blood alcohol content nearly
four times the legal limit.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at 5900 E. State Blvd. Fort Wayne police
said the adult woman was the only person in the Ford Taurus. She was taken
to a hospital where she was said to be in critical, but stable condition.
Police said it's believed that she was going east on E. State when a witness
said she was straddling both eastbound lanes going very quickly. The car
then went off the road and crashed head-on into a tree.
It was determined at the hospital that the driver had a BAC of .31 percent.
Her name hasn't been released.
