because using natual gas is the quickest way to supply extra electricity ,
unlike coal and nuclear which have longer startup times, natual gas set the
price of electricity.
so if ng goes up, ultilities benefit.
but only if the ultility is burning cheaper energy like nuclear and coal.
the natural gas price need to be high for long enough time, , say at least 1
year, before the ultility company can benefit as most of them already
presold their electricity.
