I sold some covered QQQ $65 calls last week. This morning at 8:20am, they
were exercised. Also today is the expiration date, as well as the ex-div
date for $0.3666 per share.
Basically, I took the dividend, and the buyer took the shares at $65 without
dividend. Why did it happen?

You have QQQ shares before ex-div date. so you can have the dividend. $65
call becomes $64.6334 call (if it was not exercised earlier).

But the buyer bought the share at $65, not $64.6334.

Its just some delay, it will take div away from you once things settled.
Saw this many times.

你确定是ex day assign 的还是 ex day前一天？
一般assignment 账户显示有1天delay

当然不是，你得在ex day 之前hold才行。不然怎么叫ex day
