His last name(Lien) and his wife's maiden name(Ng) look like Vietnamese.
All the news says Asian. Just wandering if they are really Chinese.

首先，只要是东亚裔面孔受难的，我们就应该力挺，黑人分南非北非么？
其次，Lien就是连，Ng就是吴，莫非因为使用不同普通话的其它汉语就不算华人？

主要是大家预期太高，其实这个世界公共场所主要还是LOW LIFE的天下，想安静些的往

I think 吴 is Woo in Cantonese.
from wiki:
Ng corresponds to the surname 黃 (Mand. Huáng) meaning "yellow"; or to 阮 (
Mand. Ruan).
Ng is sometimes romanized as Woo or Wu even by people of Cantonese origin,
such as John Woo. In Vietnam, the corresponding surname is Ngô.

Ng和Ngo差得远了。
Ng就如同一个声母，跟别的发音组合成了不同的词汇。
单独的Ng，跟阮之类或者Ngo之类的的差远了。不要因为人家用了Ng这个声母就说人家
是一家的。我们还林李呢，莫非跟Linda也是一家的？
哪怕人家是越南人，又如何？人家欺负你的时候，还问你是中国人越南人不成？！！！

i was just asking, because I didnt see any news says Chinese.
I dont know any Cantonese with this last name, but I do know several
Vietnamese friends use Ng. Ng is very common last name in Vietnam.
Besides, Lien is a last name used by Cantonese in Vietnam and Singapore.
When both people are together, I tend to think they are from that area.
