学习买卖Option后续。。。。# Stock

自从上次学习Option , 乱买卖option(2 个call of RNA)，攒了3块钱. 我决定再次出
击。但是目标还真的挺难找，所以犹豫了好久。看了很多论坛说ng 会大涨，我一查
，发现股票才2.85，stripe price $3 的才卖0.15，我觉得挺便宜的，所以就豪情万
丈的买了20个calls.
买了Call后我就很高兴，觉得好像我快要发达了。。。。第2天看到某论坛说ng 升了，
我马上颠着屁股跑去查，是升到了2.87，但是也不是那么的让人振奋吧。可能是我自
己太贪心了，人家买卖都是上万的，你才买了300块，当然不觉得有什么区别了。然后
我就自己忙别的事情去了。
过来一个星期后看到某论坛说ng升到5块多了，我心开怒放呀。听说Option攒钱快，这
次发达了。但是我一查，ng 跌了，到2.77了。我的天呀，怎么回事。他们还说道5
块了，这5块我怎么看不到呢。。。。。我马上仔细研究他们的对话，发现人家说的ng
(natural gas), 我买的是ng 的股票symbol, 是黄金股..... 悲剧了，在黄金狂跌的
年头我居然跳进去了，我都已经可以幻想到庄家一般数我的钱一边在偷笑了。
还好我买的是2月的call，所以，我没办法，只得赌了。结果今天，股票升到3.32,
呵呵，我赌赢了。 Call卖了618块，现在是我自己一边数钱，一边偷笑了，呵呵。

我来复述一下。
我刚学开车，知道方向盘是用来控制方向的。今天看见前面有个路口，我脚下一踩就上
了高速了。后来才发现是把油门当成了刹车。方向盘也没动。结果居然下了高速，什么
事都没有。可能以后多练习几次，熟练了就好了。

很好的比喻，但是你说的是赌命，我的纯粹是赌运。你说的输了会赔上性命，我的就会

你自己选择做的事，我怎么会去说“回头是岸”呢。
不过炒股用杠杆，这事情绝对不容易。各种危险多着呢。本青蛙亏得想跳楼的时候，也
自认为没有一次亏损交易的本意是上去赌命的。甚至还认为次次都是小心翼翼。可是要
修炼悟道，不是一般的难。

不过本身股票就便宜，买点stock，比可以。

Don't, if you are not 70% sure that stock is going up.
I am learning how to play it, but found out it is not as easy as what it
sounds.

I did the sell to close and put a limit price on it, because last time it
said I could earn $50 but because I didn't set the price, they give me the
lowest price. So instead of $50 I only got $3...........555

FIDELITY的手续费贵的离谱，尤其是OPTION。我三个月手续费花了快2K。正要换呢。建

Buying single leg options even ATM in average only has 18% of chance of
breaking even (Yes, just breaking even, and yes, OTM has even lower chances)
. Good pricing can swing the odds in your favor, slightly. And all these
calculations exclude the hefty commissions and slippage.
So if you are for fun, sure, it's pretty much just like gamble, and actually
worse odds than playing in casino, but forget about making money.
Options trading is a very risky act, that more than 70% of traders blow out
their portfolio in the first year, regardless how they start. There are a
very small percentage traders who come up with great strategy and make money
consistently, but just like in the casino, you are never going to be one of
them.

I think stock and option both are gamble. Option has more chance for people
who has small amount of money. Of course nobody is winning all the time,
but we just want to win most of the time.
If I go to casino or play stock, I only play the amount of money that if I
lose it, it won't affect my life.

这是传统的错误观念。好比你说我学开车就是玩玩，我永远只会在小区里开开，不上马
路冒生命危险。如果是这样，你浪费时间学开车干什么。只要技术到了一定程度，你肯
定会忍不住上街的。而且这也是学开车的基本目标。当然，上去了，安全不安全就得看
你的技术了。

There is a reason that more than 70% option traders blow out their account
in first year. Many of them started like you, but eventually got changed for
a reason. If your account got blow out while you are still playing small,
consider yourself lucky.
I am not talking about winning all the time, it's just so difficult to turn
18% ATM breakeven rate into winning most of the time. Don't think yourself
smart, don't think yourself a lucky girl, time will tell, you are only an
average Joe.
Statistically speaking, trading stock has a much better return rate for
average Joe than trading options, though still a loser. Option just looks
beautiful, that's why everyone plays it, and that's why the 1% traders make
money.

Yes, Options looks beautiful concerning the gain percentage, but not the net
gain in value, the main reason is as an individual investigator, I dare not
to invest in large volume due to the high risk, but stocks are different,
no time decay and I can hold forever...
So I don't care about the beauty of option, I care more about the number of
net gain...
Still, I am in the learning process, still trying option, just preliminary
impression on options and like to share with those who just started like me.
..may change later on...

Not only on the net gain, even percentage wise, it's against you even though
it looks good. For every 100% winner, you will suffer 2 100% losers, that's
how it works, or even worse.
When my friends ask me about a strategy, I always tell them to start with
paper trading, not real money. If you think you find a consistent money
making strategy, you could obviously spend half year to paper trade to

I should have heard this earlier since I have put all my January profits
into options today...
No matter what, after this round, I will try paper trading for half a year,
I totally agree, it worth the delay, gain or loss.
