Fed will likely approve a fifth $10 billion cut in its monthly bond
purchases to cut the bond purchase to $35 billion per month, the whole
program is expected to be ended this fall when its total bond investment
reaches nearing $4.5 trillion.
Most Fed members expect the Fed to start raising short-term rates between
mid-2015 and early 2016. In March, policy makers estimated that the interest
rate, now close to zero, would rise to 1 percent at the end of 2015 and to
2.25 percent a year later.
