Theory,
Option expiration (OE) closing prices are controlled by MM. MM sell large
amount of options in advance based on their planned OE prices. by observing
what option they sell in advance, you know the OE prices in advance.

Example 1.
USO MM sold 30,978 contracts of $40.5 June 2014 call last Thursday. on
Friday, the stock closed below $40.

Example 2.
MM sold FB $65 call one week in advance in June 2014 OE. FB closed below $65
at 64.5 on OE. All calls became waste paper.

You mean that USO MM has not reported to you?
For those stocks with a lot of options (usually high-priced stocks), the
stock movement during the OE week is perfectly planned in advance.
