uso tracks the future contract expired next month while usl tracks the
average price of the future expired in the next 12 months. So the math is
straight forward. Another easy way, compare USL and USO chart for the last 3
months, 6 months, 12 months and 18 months, then you will get an idea about
the time decay related to USO. But USO has a much bigger volume to trade.
