今年年初股市上赚了20万，后来买了xxx $20 一万股一共二十万，但是马上被套-$
10 per share ，决定年底之前卖了抵掉盈利，主动损失十万。但是手没憋住30天内有
买回了xxx 一万股 $9。成本9万，今天12/6，请问我该怎么办… 该不该卖了明年1
月6号再买进？

You should harvest the loss this year to reduce your capital gains. Yes you
are right you should sell the position by 12/31, and stay out for more than
30 days before buying it again. This way it will not trigger another WS, and
the loss will be recognized for 2017 tax year.

同意dvbbs. 如果这30天你怕它溜了，可以同时买一个deep in the money call。 deep
一点，时间长一点，30天后卖掉换回股票。这样损耗最小又保证没有lose position

相同TICKER的OPTIONS会算做WASH SALE。

selling the call and buying back the stock does not.
Since buying the call already trigger the wash sale, what he can do now is
selling the option and buying back the stock. In essence, the wash sale is
all closed and buying back stock while selling the call does not trigger the
stock sale.
