If we assume blockchain technology will indeed revolutionize many industries
, which sector may benefit? I am holding a lot of OSTK, but can't find any
other stock that is a real player.
Several stocks may marginally benefit:
1. GPU, which I don't want to get involved
2. Hard drive? do we anticipate hard drive demand will zoom up? I can't see
that would make a big impact
3. Should we start buying IT related index? This will be another gigantic
demand of IT resources.
4. bio/electronic verification? Seems to be stretched
5. Payment industry stocks are already going through the roof. I don't want
to chase anymore.

Well, blockchain will get rid of middle man. If overstock is successful at
what it claims to do, it would get rid of exchanges like etrade, scottrade,
cboe, cme, and property companies like zillow, redfin, etc. I am definitely
not touching those sectors.

All micro payment processing stocks went up a lot this month in anticipation
, motivated by otiv, nxtd, jtpy, pyds, etc. I am trying to figure out what
is a similar industry.
I bought PLPM for a moment, then realized it was bought out before I bought.
no wonder it stayed at 4.49. lol

the real amusing part: this stock market is now dominated by machine trading.
an hour ago, I found a junk stock related to mobile payment. At that time it
has almost no transaction, so I bought 60K shares. In the next hour, volume
is 480K and still climbing. lol.
