You don't need a business to write off tax. You can always write off business
expense if you are paid on 1099 because that means you are self-employed. On
the countrary, you should not accept 1099 if you are incorporated. Corporate
income should be addressed to the business not the individual.
Talk to a lawyer and an CPA
1099 is always sent to individual. If you are incorporated, the employer
doesn't need to send 1099 at all, meaning if you are incorporated, there
should be no 1099.
