我过去是用 matlab，R 之类的作图，贴在 powerpoint 里，用 powerpoint 的文本
框，箭头啥的标注。
现在要用 latex 写东西，被迫把这些加工过的图都存成 .png 格式，然后用 pdfl
atex。可惜了些。难道非要在 matlab 里加所有标注再存成 .eps 么？可以直接把
office 里的东西转成 .eps 图么（除了print成ps再转eps的那种恐怖方法）？位
图又大又傻还容易 aliasing。
还有，要是单纯画示意图，有啥软件呢？

I use SmartDraw.
But you can also use Matlab to convert jpg and bmp to eps without quality
reduction.

有个能把windows里的OLE object存成eps的软件。
叫OLETex
可以把powerpoint里边的东西直接粘贴到这个软件
然后存成eps

yes, i have all my figures in .fig format. i used powerpoint for present
ations. and i added lots of annotations on figures under office.
actually the OTEditor works perfect to me for converting M$ office drawi
ngs into .eps files. my current problem is about ps2pdf settings, i gues
s. the size of the image is not correct, and the right half of the image
cannot be shown at all :((

when you use matlab next time.
save the ".fig" file.
then you can use it anyway you want

it's weird. in the .eps it says that the bounding box is from 0 0 to 433
278. then i used
ps2pdf -g 433x278 in.eps out.pdf
and the size is wrong.
when tried
ps2psf -g 4330x2780 in.eps out.pdf
everything is perfect.
just in case someone else has the same problem ...

btw, why you need to change it to pdf?
eps isnot oK?

what is the advantage of pdflatex over the traditional eps latex?

it's not cool enough , haha,
and more importantly, for highly regular graphs,
metapost is far faster than xfig,
and xfig is more suitable for non-regular/interactive graphs

I don't like it personally.
the effect of figures doesn't look beautiful.
