我在美国从F1转的H1B，去年10月生效的，之后没出过美国。以前去墨西哥renew过F1,
这次想去墨西哥签H1B。但是墨西哥美领馆的网站上说只有renew可以。请问有经验的前

Previlaing Wage调查到底需要多长时间？
公司律师8周以前就说在做工资调查，说需要4-6周，现在都是第8周了，律师说还没消
息。
律师在东部，我人在加州。 这个工资调查是mail到labor department,还是网上申请的
？
是否可以让律师查劳工部（labor dept.)是否收到这个申请，是否在处理？
就怕丢了，打算让律师重新申请了。不过公司律师很难沟通。

初中那会儿就听到这句话了，当时觉得真是够文艺范儿，而且怎么也想不明白，说这话的人什么心态，当时还想一听就又是一个文艺疯子说的话：世界上那么多情感，活着也可以有那么多的理由，可以开心，可以爱，为什么偏偏是痛楚。
越长大反而越能明白与体会了，这句话也越发清晰地浮现在脑海中，不晓得是不是因为自己喜欢自虐呵，这里我不禁想要冷笑一下了，有时候也蛮想发个烧感个冒，受个委屈，哭一哭，但是想来离家这几年身体太健壮，即便委屈，想到没人安慰（其实是自己打小就不爱在别人面前哭），所以还真是不能装装可怜博取同情。
生活，工作着实把我累的很难喘口气，我热爱旅游，可哪一次旅游不是把自己折腾的够呛，就说现在，我好好的父母身边不待，只身一人，折腾到国外，体验异国气息，且不说偶尔的语言障碍，文化差异，就是这边的饮食习惯都让我完全不适应，可我就是不愿意就这么回去，突然觉得把自己折腾的这么痛楚我才着实发现自己是活着的。原来这句话是这个意思呢！

应该是上海打出两段登机牌，到了芝加哥之后，先入境，然后取行李，过海关，将行李
re-check，重新安检，登机。

need copy of graduation and copy of your passport of go abroad. That is
enough.

3-4 weeks current processing time for PW. Have you tried to look up the PW
yourself, if you really want to involve yourself, you can try to look it up.
If the PW is a lot higher than your current salary, the company will need
time to resolve the issue. Your company's immigration attorney is not going
to discuss the wage with you, so you won't get any useful info from them.

my experience with united is NO, they will automatically tansfer your luggage
to next
flight, all you have to do is to check out and catch next flight, but that
is about 2 years ago. Maybe rules changed

i would call united a few times talking to several different representatives
, if all of them saying the same thing, no check out luggages needed. Then I
am sure you do not need to check out your luggage

告诉你正确答案：
行李在上海可以一托到底（行李条上打印你所有的航班）
但是：
在入境美国的第一个机场要认领自己的行李过海关（抓你带的违禁物品），过了海关以
后重新把行李扔给ua，这叫drop，不算重新check in，因为登机牌你都有了，行李条也
在行李上了，他们只是收进去而已，到里面继续行李分拣的流程
ua回答得没错，因为这不叫重新托运，你在ord只是把行李扔给他们，并不办理任何托
运手续
别人回答得也没有错，因为这里绝大多数人搞不清楚check luggage 和drop luggage的

btw, did LZ know why you need to claim your checked baggage at US customs?
because your baggage, like youself, must clear customs inspection. this is
the authority of country you intend to enter.
