Depreciation and capitalization are not easy concept for you guys. You may
not be able to tell the difference between repair/maintenance and
capitalization. Cost/basis, depreciation recap and Gain/loss are the most
important thing for rental business which I do not believe you know a thing
about it. You may save penny by doing it yourself and loss tons of tax money
when you sell your property.

如果你要是不打算报你的租屋亏损，还是省省心，别报你有rental了，包了也是多交税
。如果你能报亏损把你的总收入降下来，你就试一把。我以前用turbotax delux报的(
没做广告的意思)，一步一步来不是很难。就几十块钱，比找会计师划算多了。不过后
来被audit了。倒也没什么，就补了一千多的税也没罚钱。

starting point to calculate the depreciation basis. then you plus any
improvements and minus anything reduced you cost.
For simplicity, I would use it as depreciation basis but remember, the land

我每次都是google APMEX+cashback然后找到的，不过最近有点小问题，老收不到
icouponblog的confirmation email，不过记住tracking ID还是可以找到的
