照理不需装任何中文平台,只须选合适的encoding既可

make sure your netscape(or x) has Chinese Font installed.
then in your .Xdefault file add a line like this:
xset fp+ /your/chinese/font/path

I do not know whether the machines installed chinese
font.how
can I know? what font file I should search for?
can you tell me where to download chinese font file under
SunOS?

you should look for a directory .../fonts/
there should be some file like:
fonts.alias fonts.dir gb16fs.bdf gb16fs.pcf.gz
Or, you can download Cxterm and use the fonts file of it.

Ok,I have kind of same problem.
I got the directory containning fonts.alias fonts....
Then what should do next????
xset +fp ????
