I mean it doesn't matter if your sysadmin _has_ backups. Even he does,
you lost all the work since last backup.

.cshrc里面加个爱你饿死
alias rm rm -i
每次rm就都会问你要confirmation,
误伤好人的几率就小多乐

until you are bored and get used to using 'rm -rf'.
One primary responsibility of a sysadmin is to backup regularly.

Ask your support. usually they do incremental backup daily, at least weekly.

solved the problem for me this morning.

The argument against rm -i:
1. It gives false sense of security.
2. It is extremely tedious.
3. Sooner or later, one gets used to hit y automatically after
rm -i, defeating the original purpose.
On user's end, one should backup often.
Another lesson I learned the hardway was
rm * .o
I put such commands in scripts/Makefiles since then...
