".mailrc" doesn't do this job. ".forward" does.
Put the email address you want to forward to in the file ".forward".

it seems it didn't work.
I create a new file ".forward" with only a line in this file (e.g.);
w*****[email protected]
I logout and send an e-mail to my unix mail-box through a yahoo mail.
after I login, I found that e-mail in my unix mail-box, but it wasn't
forwarded to w*****[email protected]
any more hints pls?

where did you put it? Try putting it under "Mail" or "mail", not "home"

doesn't open this service. i'm not familiar with administrative work of
unix.

You may also need to run the vacation program once.

it should be at $HOME directory, your home directory
not a directory "home"
if not work, ask your Unix admin for help.

hehe, i know "home" doesn't mean a home folder, but my root home directory.

check permission. it cannot be group/other writable.
chmod go-w ~/.;
chmod 600 ~/.forward
